Shyam

Shyam is an Art Director, Designer and Animator who got his MFA in motion graphics from the prestigious Savannah College of Art & Design, Savannah, GA. He also has an undergrad in Architecture and has worked for 2 years as an Architect. He is a collaborative team player with strong knowledge of the latest trends in digital media and is efficient in communicating the visual vocabulary of those trends to the design team and clients consistently. Shyam has 8+ years experience in Broadcast Design and Motion Graphics. He is well versed in typography, compositing and 3d projects. He has advanced and up-to-date proven knowledge in the latest creative tools such as Adobe products (CS4), 3d software (Cinema 4D & 3d max) and interactive experience with Flash / Dreamweaver. Shyam has worked as an Art Director at truTV for the past 3 years, where he worked on the successful rebrand and relaunch of Court TV as truTV in 2008, and won 3 PROMAX/ BDA awards. He is efficient in developing and strategizing design projects while maintaining cohesiveness based on the brand. As an Art Director he initiated and managed, effective design brainstorming meetings and individual performance to build an excellent digital design team, ensuring creative concepts with consistent quality. He has experience in directing live shoot including green screen and talents. Before truTV, Shyam has worked at various design agencies such as Digital Kitchen, Pure NY, Flying Machine, Nth Degree, Edgeworx and has worked with clients such as Budweiser, NFL, Chase, Capital One, Wendy’s, Cincinnati Bell, Verizon, EarthLink, Coke, Footlocker, NY Knicks, Ddb Chicago, Dcode, A&E, History Channel, Biography, Lifetime Channel, Sky Italia, MTV, OLN (VS), MSG and Nickelodeon to name a few. He has worked on the rebranding/ launch of MSG network, Sky Italia, MTV2 and truTV. To Shyam, location, language, and surroundings do not matter, but the process, the people and the result, do. He is always ready for an experience that would expose him to the whole gamut of frames, fields and sub-texts that define the entertainment industry.
