JP Cadaveira
JP Cadaveira is a bi-lingual (english/spanish) Senior Editor with over 10 years of experience working with such clients as NIKE, SONY, McDonald’s, T-MOBILE, FORD, COLGATE-PALMOLIVE, GATORADE, PBS, MTV, DISCOVERY NETWORKS and BET. JP has worked in commercials, documentaries, reality TV, narrative films and music videos.
Excelling in art and mechanics at an early age, JP naturally gravitated towards filmmaking. Starting out behind the camera, he quickly moved into the post-production arts of motion graphics, compositing, sound design, and editorial. He realized editorial was his forte as he could passionately ensemble his creative understanding of rhythm, music and drama into meaningful stories.
JP Cadaveira studied Film and Production at the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. He began his career as a cameraman at an Argentinean television network. His next venture was a global adventure in travel shooting and editing Latin American documentaries. He directed and produced the award-winning documentary “Philately” which subsequently was broadcast all over Latin America.
Moving to Miami, JP joined the film and advertising community working with renowned agencies like Young & Rubicam, BBDO and Zubi Advertising. With experience and success, JP arrived in NYC in 2003 cutting spots for the General Market and shows for networks such as MTV, DISCOVERY NETWORKS, PBS and E! Entertainment. Continuing his love for independent film, he edited “RocketScience” which was held in acclaim as the official selection at the Los Angeles Film Festival.
JP now works cutting for both the Hispanic and US General Markets. Some of his recent achievements include creative editorial for Splenda, McDonald’s, T-Mobile, a national campaign against colon cancer featuring Jimmy Smits and being Sr. editor for the MTV show “Trick it out”.
