Jon Baskin is an award-winning editor who worked as a staff and freelance editor for the past seventeen years at various prestigious networks such as HBO, USA Network, ESPN, NBC and CBS. He won two consecutive Emmys for his work on HBO’s Inside The NFL and was nominated for another Emmy in Outstanding Journalism for a piece on Real Sports With Bryant Gumbel. Jon earned 2009 Promax Gold and Silver Medals for a Real Time with Bill Maher promo for HBO, a Promax Gold Medal for an Entourage promo and a Silver Medal at The New York Festival for a Costas Now image piece. He also won a Monitor Award for a Road Runner High Speed Online campaign. He cut numerous promos for the series Pysch for USA Network. Jon has cut seasons of tv series Saturday Night Live, Big Fights Boxing Hour (ESPN Classic), Inside Space (Sci-Fi Channel) and Costas Now (HBO). He cut The Lady in Question is Charles Busch, a documentary about the actor/writer, which premiered at The Tribeca Film Festival and aired on The Sundance Channel through 2008. He also cut documentaries about HBO’s Big Love and The Wire, which won a Silver Medal at The New York Festival. He directed, produced and edited BEEF, a documentary about four female slam poets, which was an Official Selection at The Maryland Film Festival and The Directors View Film Festival. He also directed, produced and edited I Am Not A Juvenile Delinquent, a documentary about a group of incarcerated teenage girls, which was an Official Selection at Girl Fest Hawaii.
